Daybreaks Trust is a registered charity dedicated to finding loving homes for retired greyhounds. I started supporting them by going to photograph the dogs that were awaiting adoption so that they could use the images for their promotional work. Doing this I fell in love with the breed and fell in love with Daybreaks. The work that they do is amazing and the dogs that they help really do have their lives changed forever. They get to be loved.
This then developed into me holding photography events at Daybreaks which enables me to not only raise funds for Daybreaks but it also allows me to see and meet the owners of many of the dogs that are adopted and to see how happy they are (both the dogs and the owners). Adopted greyhound owners really are wonderful people. They cannot do enough for these dogs, they really are like one big happy family.
